How to fix rust on car door...

the bottom of my car door has been rusting for awhile just wondering how to

fix it, its getting quite ''bubbly'' for want of a better description. the

rust patch goes2 inches up from the base of the door and 15'' long, if l

took it down gently with the grinder with my dremel tool and then perhaps

put on some hammerite kurust would that be ok to paint on? or would the

kurust be ok by itself, l have some spare paint l got from the chips away 
man and a small airbrush to do the paint job.....any corrections or ideas

yes grind away the loose stuff, give it a coat of rust eater,

I would cut the piece out and weld in another section, if the

rust has penetrated deeply because that rust remedy wont stop the deep

rust coming back. I have used it and the paintwork will bubble up again

It is most likely rusting from the inside out as its inner rust

protection has been breached and/or the drain holes in the door bottom that

Consequently if you go at it with a grinder you will find the rust goes
